I am a Lecturer in Political Science at the University of California, Los Angeles. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from UCLA in 2016. My research focuses on political economy, democratization, and international migration. I am interested in the impact of migration and remittances on government spending and political behavior in developing countries. I have lectured courses on data analysis, research methods, comparative politics, Latin American politics, and political economy. During the 2016-2017 academic year, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law. Before joining UCLA, I worked at the Woodrow Wilson Center in Washington, DC. I earned my B.A. in Political Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
I will be joining the Department of Political Science at Denver University in Fall 2018.
